Example 1

We moved here in the ______.Choices: Spring  /  spring  /  SPRING
  1. Is spring the name of one particular thing? No; it is a season that comes every year.
  2. Seasons take a small letter.

Answer: We moved here in the spring.

Example 2

My ______ works at the hospital.Choices: Mom  /  mom  /  MOM
  1. Try the test: is there a word like my, the or a in front? Yes, my.
  2. With my in front, mom is an ordinary word, not used as her name.

Answer: My mom works at the hospital.
