Two examples

Example 1

The least common multiple of 4 and 6 is
  1. List the multiples of the larger number, 6: 6, 12.
  2. 4 does not go into 6 evenly, but it goes into 12.

Answer: 12

Example 2

Is 56 a multiple of 8?
  1. 8 × 7 = 56, so 56 is in the 8 times table.

Answer: Yes
