Math Drills

Short sets of problems, one skill each, numbered in order from whole numbers to functions.

How the drills work

One skill at a time, in order

A drill practices one skill and nothing else. There are 237 of them, numbered in order and grouped by the fourteen math families, so that together they cover every skill on the GED math test, from the times tables to functions.

Each drill starts with two worked examples, with every step shown, and a link to the page where the skill is taught. Then come ten problems, or five if you are short of time. Check your answers on the screen and read the reasoning for each one, or print the set, with its answer key on the last page. Press New set for fresh problems as often as you like.

A drill is mastered when you get all ten right, or all five right twice in a row. A mastered drill gets a check mark on this page. The check marks are kept in this browser only; on another phone or computer they start fresh.

Within a family, go in order. Each drill uses what the drills before it practiced.

All 237 drills are ready, in every family.
