Two examples

Example 1

A circle graph shows 400 workers; 35% take the subway. How many take the subway?
  1. 35% of 400: 0.35 × 400.

Answer: 140

Example 2

The same graph shows 15% walk. How many walk?
  1. 0.15 × 400.

Answer: 60
