Two examples

Example 1

Is 3,426 divisible by 3?
  1. Add the digits: 3 + 4 + 2 + 6 = 15.
  2. 15 is divisible by 3, so 3,426 is too.

Answer: Yes

Example 2

Is 7,415 divisible by 10?
  1. A number is divisible by 10 when its last digit is 0.
  2. The last digit is 5.

Answer: No
