Two examples
Example 1
A coin was flipped 200 times and landed heads 112 times. What percent were heads?
- 112 out of 200 = 0.56.
Answer: 56%
Example 2
Same coin. How many more heads than expected?
- Expected: half of 200, which is 100. 112 − 100.
Answer: 12
