Example 1

What is the complement of a 35° angle?
  1. Complementary angles add to 90°: 90 − 35.

Answer: 55°

Example 2

What is the supplement of a 112° angle?
  1. Supplementary angles add to 180°: 180 − 112.

Answer: 68°
