Two examples

Example 1

A bag holds 3 red and 7 blue marbles. What is the probability of NOT red?
  1. P(red) = 310. The two add to 1.
  2. 1 − 310.

Answer: 710

Example 2

The chance of rain is 30%. What is the chance it does not rain?
  1. 100% − 30%.

Answer: 70%
