Example 1

34 ÷ 12 =
  1. Dividing by a fraction is multiplying by its reciprocal: 34 × 21.
  2. Multiply across: 64 = 32.

Answer: 1 12

Example 2

25 ÷ 45 =
  1. Keep 25, change ÷ to × , flip 45 to 54.
  2. 25 × 54 = 1020 = 12.

Answer: 12
