In 3.472, what is the digit 7 worth?
  1. To the right of the point the places are tenths, hundredths, thousandths.
  2. The 7 is in the hundredths place: 7 hundredths.

Answer: 0.07

Example 2

In 12.0586, which digit is in the thousandths place?
  1. Tenths: 0. Hundredths: 5. Thousandths: 8.

Answer: 8
