Two examples

Example 1

Write 35% as a fraction in simplest form.
  1. 35% = 35100.
  2. Simplify: divide the top and bottom by 5.

Answer: 720

Example 2

Write 38 as a percent.
  1. Divide: 3 ÷ 8 = 0.375.
  2. Multiply by 100.

Answer: 37.5%
