Example 1

Put in order, least to greatest: 12, 38, 34
  1. Rewrite with 8: 48, 38, 68.
  2. Order the numerators: 3, 4, 6.

Answer: 38, 12, 34

Example 2

Put in order, least to greatest: 23, 14, 56
  1. Rewrite with 12: 812, 312, 1012.
  2. Order the numerators: 3, 8, 10.

Answer: 14, 23, 56
