Example 1

The ______ shift starts at six. (one worker)Choices: workers  /  worker’s  /  workers’
  1. First write the owner exactly as it is: one worker, worker.
  2. One owner: add ’s.

Answer: The worker’s shift starts at six.

Example 2

The ______ locker room is downstairs. (all the workers)Choices: worker’s  /  workers’  /  workers
  1. Write the owner exactly as it is: more than one worker, workers.
  2. It already ends in s because it is plural, so add only the apostrophe.

Answer: The workers’ locker room is downstairs.
