The GED Math Foundations Roadmap
Your summer self-study course — nineteen lessons, from place value to powers and roots
Classes are paused for the summer, but your math doesn't have to be. This is one course spread across six installments — no grades, no pressure, built so you can use it entirely on your own. Every lesson explains the why before the how, and every answer key walks you through the thinking. When I'm not sitting next to you, the answer key is me, explaining.
You don't have to go in order, and you don't have to do all of it. Every lesson stands on its own and explains itself. Open any topic, any day, and follow it start to finish. Missing a few days is fine — summer is summer. Come back, find your spot, pick up again.
Every lesson speaks in the same five colors:
blue = the idea
green = worked examples
amber = your turn
violet = answers, explained
teal = more practice

Building Blocks & Putting It Together
Factors, multiples, GCF & LCM — then a mixed review of the whole roadmap, ending with the Gauntlet: one question from every single lesson, in order.
When you get stuck — three moves, in order, before you reach for your phone:
- Slow down and re-read. The Concept and the Examples, again, slowly. Then try once more. A surprising number of walls come down right here.
- Work backward from the answer. Follow the reasoning in the key and find the exact spot where your thinking and the key's thinking split apart. That spot is the lesson.
- Park it and keep moving. Mark it "Practicing" and go on. Problems that felt impossible on Monday often look easy by Wednesday.
